Flaxseed oil is a good source of the essential fatty acids,,omega-3 and omega-6. “Essential” means they are required by the body and must be obtained in our diet. Essential fats are incorporated into cell membranes and contribute to the integrity and fluidity of cell membranes. Without healthy cell membranes, cells lose their ability to hold water, vital nutrients and electrolyes, and therefore cannot function properly.
