  • What does zinc help with?

Zinc is an essential mineral that is vital for normal growth and development. Zinc benefits include supporting the body’s natural immune defenses, helping to support healthy skin, and providing antioxidant support to protect cells from oxidative stress.
  • How much zinc should I take daily?

The daily zinc intake that is recommended is 11 mg for adults age 18 and older. This number represents the recommendation for the amount of zinc we need each day, but there is an upper limit to stay beneath, so it’s important not to overindulge in high zinc foods and supplements.
  • Where does zinc come from?

There are many ways to increase your zinc intake to support your health. Try foods like oyster, crab and turkey, as well as yogurt, milk, beans, nuts and fortified breakfast cereals. If getting enough zinc from diet alone may be an issue and you have low zinc levels, consider taking a daily zinc supplement to fill any nutrient gaps. We offer a variety of zinc supplement forms, which include zinc tablets, zinc gummies, and more.
  • What causes zinc shortfalls?

Contributing factors of low zinc levels may include poor dietary intake, excessive intake of dietary phytates that bind zinc, some chronic illnesses, malabsorption and over-supplementation with iron or copper. Vegetarians may also have low zinc levels, since they avoid consumption of animal sources which are good dietary sources of zinc. In this case, adding zinc tablets or gummies to your diet could be very beneficial. Stomach acid is needed for proper absorption of zinc; therefore, any health condition or medication that lowers stomach acid may also limit the availability of zinc.
  • When does this product expire?

Please refer to the expiration date on the bottle.
